New Officers, Awards and Post Calendar!
Congrats to the following new AL Post 515 Officers, elected in Monday's special election, positions effective immediately:
-Victor Wnorowski, Post Commander
-Rudy Cherney, First Vice Commander
-John Urbine, Second Vice Commander
(others not listed haven't changed or will be updated ASAP)
AL Auxiliary Unit 515 elections will be at next month's meeting on Monday, 5/9.
As one of Ken Urban's last official acts as AL 515 Post Commander during the meeting Monday evening, he presented AL 515 Finance Officer Bill Kinlin with a plaque in recognition for all of Bill's hard work and dedication to AL 515 over many years. We thank you Billy, and appreciate everything you do!

>Saturday 5/14:
Boat Cruise in NY Harbor, leaving Keyport Marina at 5pm sharp! Returning for 9pm. Tickets are $30 p/p, available at VFW 2179 lounge at the bar. (More details on the flyers on the AL 515 bulletin boards)
>Saturday 5/21:
Annual placing at Flags on Veterans graves at Fairview Cemetery in Middletown. Volunteers from AL 515 (and VFW 2179), plus our family and friends needed! Please see AL 515 Commander Victor W or VFW 2179 Commander Will P for more info if needed.
>Monday 5/30:
Memorial Day - Annual 6 Monuments Ceremonies with VFW 2179. (*If AL 515 is going to be in the Middletown Memorial Day parade sponsored by AL 338, that info will be updated here ASAP).

Annual VVA Dinner Dance, 6:30pm in the Hall. Please see Dennis B regarding ticket info.
>Saturday 5/14:
-Annual Breakfast to honor Middletown Police Officer’s 8am-12pm in Hall -American Legion Gold Star Mother’s Picnic (*time TBA) Also raffle drawing will be held, you don’t have to be present, $5 donation per ticket, winner receives a $500 gift card, tickets available at the VFW 2179 lounge at the bar. Please see Cindy M for info.
-Town Hall Meeting For All Veterans Exposed To Toxic Chemicals During Military Service from 2pm to 5pm in the Hall (see flyer on VFW 2179 bulletin board for more details or see Dennis B)

If you are participating for Veteran's Day, Wednesday, November 11, 2015, please be at VFW Post 2179 no later than 8am so that we can all leave for the first monument at 8:20am.
**Dress Blues and Grays plus Covers for Post Members, Dress Whites and Blues with Scarves for Unit Auxiliary Members**
Ceremony at VFW at 11am followed by VFW2179/AL515 Color Guard at Texas Roadhouse in Holmdel at 1pm followed by lunch.
